Even though kamidoro tama has taken the Taoist world by storm as the new symbol for the earth, for nature, for renewal, for life itself, and even though kamidoro tama is a proven meditation technique to search and explore the truths of Taoism, and even as an all new, all American craft with very humble beginnings, there are those naysayers who claim it is all a load of [r@p… until they've tried it.
They say, ‘how can anything so childish be of any value?' and "I wouldn't waste my time with the $#!+." These are the same smart people that when they hear about Tao they just laugh and laugh and laugh; if they did not laugh, it would not be Tao. In Tao Te Ching: The Old Man's Guide to the Virtuous Path, Lao-Tzu tells us that some things are made great by being little; other things are made small because they are great. And the child-like wonder of recalling the simpler times of making mud pies is captured in the kamidoro tama process.
They say, ‘how can anything so profoundly simple do all that you claim?' and ‘you're full of $#!+" to which we reply, simplicity without a name is freedom.
Without desire imposed upon them, everything goes as it will. Truth need not be handed down from ancient philosophers or scientific geniuses to be true. This truth has emerged from an ancient childhood past-time. It is simple, it is honest and it speaks to the greatest truths of Taoism.
Kamidoro tama and the Tao will go where they are meant to be. But consider this from Lao-Tzu in verse 9:
When the world is right with Tao
Horses are used to draw dung-carts to the field.
When the world ignores Tao
War-horses are bred on the border lands.
There is nothing worse than unbridled greed,
Except, maybe, for being discontent with one's lot in life and wanting more.
Therefore, be happy to have what you have.
