Many spiritual concepts that have long been a part of sacred geometry are consummated in the Mobius ring. A Mobius strip can be created from cutting out an eleven (11") inch long by one (1") inch wide strip of paper from a standard (8.5") by (11") inch sheet. Twist one end one-half (1/2) a turn and then join the two ends together. What you end up with is a ring that has only one side, and you can prove this by drawing a line all the way along the one side and you will finish up on the same side where you started the line in the first place.
Knowing that there is no distinction between the inside and outside of the ring, but only one, long, continuous side, one can realize the oneness in all things and that God created everything from Himself, never from something other than or different from Himself. Materialistic thinkers, under the illusion of separation, tend to not be aware of the one energy behind all creation, and therefore remain under the sway of good and evil.
What Happens When You Cut all the Way around the Middle of the Mobius Strip?
Cut along the middle of the Mobius strip all along the same path as the line you drew along the center. Instead of getting two strips, you will end up with a much longer strip that twists itself into an infinity symbol! This again illustrates the illusion of separateness, and all that appears to be outside one's self, is really the same thing as that which is within you. You (the observer) and the observed infinite universe all around and about you, are actually two sides of the same thing, only viewed from a different angle!
Cut along the Mobius Strip a Third Time!
Try cutting along the middle of the strip a third time and see what happens. This time, if you cut all the way around, instead of along the center and for symbolic purposes, cut two-thirds (2/3) over to the side so that one side is one-third (1/3) wide and the other side is two-thirds (2/3) of the original thickness, you end up with two (2) separate thinner loops, yet interlocked with each other that look like two (2) infinity symbols, one thinner than the other, both having the same length of the original infinity symbol.
What does all this mean? The broader ring would stand for the infinity of the Creator, or the unmanifested Infinite Father, beyond space and time. The thinner ring, effortlessly and perfectly aligned with the broader ring, stands for the manifested creation itself along with all its creatures and other living things, which is in itself quite vast and endless, but not quite as strong as the infinity of the Creator Himself!
I never imagined so much cosmic meaning and spiritual insight could be found within the Mobius ring! The design of the Mobius ring can also be found in sacred jewelry, fashioned from either gold or silver to help remind us of who we truly are.

The Power That Karma Holds Over Us!
You are probably thinking that experiencing karma is completely in the gross physical or mental levels of being, but that is not true. It is experienced in both the subtle level as well as arising into the denser manifestations of karma, which culminate in physical events, as well as becoming your environment. It is in the outer world, but you are experiencing it through the filter of your magic charm: the mass of your karma that is yet unfulfilled because suitable conditions have not arrived.
Student: I like the movement from subtle to manifest as you say, so the question for me that comes is, okay, if it comes from that subtle plane, it has to have a pathway into the gross plane. What is that pathway?
Rinpoche: That is you standing with the door open, saying, "Let the disaster begin."
Student: Oh, in that case, are you going to teach us how to shut the door to bad karma coming from our subtle reality?
Rinpoche: Karma is actually a subject for very long periods of meditation. I am describing the general elements of the meditation, but nothing changes unless you seriously meditate on them and gain realizations. It is not something easy to describe or even to understand intellectually. Karma is very, very subtle. We are the proprietors of our body and our own life and are responsible for our own actions, but we seem to be enmeshed in this unbreakable web of our own making. The dilemma is huge!
Student: You know, it could be a motivator of fear, but it also could be a motivator to get on the cushion.
Rinpoche: And to take responsibility. In one of the sutras, it states, "The karma of embodied beings does not vanish over hundreds of eons. If the prerequisites and the time are right, karma will ripen to results." This is what Lord Buddha Shakyamuni said about karma. In addition, "It will not grow stale over time, it will not lessen over time, and it will not become nonexistent over time." These are the ramifications of remaining in the unenlightened state.
Even at the end of this world when everything is destroyed, karma will not disappear simply because the human realm does not exist any more. Those who have not completed their karma or transformed to the awakened state will be scooped up in their actual inner being, the level of subtle mind that is the true transmigrator. Living beings will be held in a stasis like state, but they are still not free. They will be held until a suitable environment, such as the next world system, let us say another earth develops. Then the living beings will assume another body-like form and could complete their karma, or continue suffering. You might say, "Well, that does not sound very good!" And I agree!
Student: What would be the difference between creating a virtuous mind and karma versus, at a higher evolutionary state, being free of karma?
Rinpoche: Even in higher evolutionary states, living beings, such as bodhisattvas, voluntarily take on certain types of karma, out of compassion, in order to be able to be with others who are experiencing suffering. Thank goodness for their great compassion.
If you do not examine and take responsibility for your life, then the opportunity to change will pass you by, as though you are in some kind of a dream. When we look at events of our life and present situation, sometimes it is painful, and we want to push it away. Sometimes it is so joyful that we can hardly tolerate our good luck. Whether our experiences are virtuous or non-virtuous, both depend upon grasping, either way it is an unbreakable web of our own making. We are not causing karma. We are the makers of karma, and we are responsible to ourselves.
Student: Which is the more important statement, that we are the creators of karma or that we are responsible for our karma?
Rinpoche: We are responsible. We have an obligation to ourselves to behave in certain ways that creates our life and produces virtuous karma so virtuous activities become increased and negative activities, which tend to make us pretty cranky, are reduced. When our own negative actions are fewer, the possibility of experiencing negativity is also a great deal reduced. In addition, the more negativity we eliminate in our self, the less we are capable of harming others. Our own experiences of bad karma and negative karma do have a cascade effect on family and society in general, and in that way, we stop harming others. To out great luck for everyone, our life situation and evolutionary dynamics become more skillful.
Student: So, rather than responsibility, it is the response to karma.
Rinpoche: No, you have a responsibility to yourself. You have a responsibility to take care of yourself. Many feel that they have a duty to others, but they do not care about themselves. You have an obligation to create superior causes and conditions so that the results are the highest quality possible.
Some people, like our mothers, say "Oh, I care nothing for myself. I only want my children to be happy," when in fact they do have a responsibility to themselves. They still have the same responsibilities to their children, but it was not supposed to be one thing or the other. They were also supposed to take care of themselves.
You know, our egos have their own way of interpreting events. We are already suffering because inappropriate ego prevents us from perceiving the way things exist in reality. In addition, perhaps we do not respect ourselves enough to challenge this ego-based method of dealing with external and internal phenomena. The powerful self-respect developed when we do authentic dharma practice gives us skills to deal with inappropriate ego in a way that will completely change how we perceive the world. We need to make effort to produce virtues that are going to allow us to experience happiness in the future. This is a different way of observing life, from this system.
After a great deal of personal effort and blessings from the Buddhas and bodhisattvas, and entering the enlightened state, karma completely disappears. However, in the meantime, by the teachings of the Buddhist dharma, we steadily push for positive changes in behavior and perceptions, through meditation efforts. By these transformations, we also enhance our ability to make changes in the subtler levels of our being. Both others and we ourselves will become happier. We hold the ideals of perfect Buddhahood by the awareness of the benefits of the goal, complete and total enlightenment, complete omniscience, and spontaneous compassion.
So, how shall we do it? Human beings have the capacity to change, isn't that so? We will need to challenge the way we think by our human willpower that does not exist in other realms. The god realm seems like such a marvelous place. Gods can manifest things at will but they do not have the will to change. They do not have the willpower that we do in the human realm.
Yes, we need to change our karma, but how much strength do we need to reverse the harm that we have done just in this one lifetime? If we believe in reincarnation, we realize that we probably have unfulfilled karma from other lives as well. If you look at your own body and your own life's situation, you might say, as the sages throughout history have said, "I am the result of my previous karma, and what I am doing now is the cause for my future." That future result could ripen in the next five minutes, the next five years, or it could be in the next lifetime.
Are we willing to put some effort into changing the way we behave? In a way, yes, we are willing to put some effort into it, and in a way, we are not or incapable. Some situations and habits seem so difficult it is impossible to even imagine changes. This is when the systematic teachings of dharma makes the most sense, because there are some behaviors that can change right away. For instance, there are some things so stupid, so time wasting and silly, we just forgot to say stop! These are what we can easily change. Just decide, ‘I am not going to do it anymore!' If somebody says, "But we always go to the bar on Thursday night," you say, "You cannot make me! I do not want to. I am wasting my time. I do not like the smell. Let's go for a jog instead."
So, there are some trouble making behaviors that we can change instantly. Why don't we just do it? I believe that some things just require our permission by stating formally to our self "I give myself permission to not do this anymore." It is an interesting and empowering feeling to give yourself permission.
You can also start by increasing virtue in small ways to practice self-confidence. Even small good deeds will increase, and we should not overlook any opportunity to practice virtue. In the saying of the Buddha, "Do not think that a small virtue will not return in your future lives, just as falling drops of water will fill a large container." Little virtues will steadfastly accumulate and will be a powerful source of energy. The amassing of small merits and small virtues will generate enough merit and strength to change even more. Not only does it deepen your good nature, and make you more sophisticated spiritually, it will culminate in complete freedom from karma.

A Band Of Brothers
It's a fascinating tale of comradeship that is, in the end, a tale of ordinary men who did extraordinary things. The story of "E" Easy Company, 506th Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division from their initial training starting in 1942 to the end of World War II. Men who parachuted behind enemy lines in the early hours of D-Day in support of the landings at Utah beach, participated in the liberation of Carentan, and again parachuted into action during Operation Market Garden. They also liberated a concentration camp and were the first to enter Hitler's mountain retreat in Berchtesgarten. I am talking about the movie made in 2001, but what about the story 2,000 years ago? What about James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas as found in Matt. 13:55-56 or as they are listed in Mark 6:3: James, Joses, Simon, and Judas. Of course Jesus also had sisters, but this is about the BOYZ! They were REAL brothers, not bretheran, no step brothers, nor any of those other made up ideas to keep the virgin Mary story alive. Have you ever wondered why only Matthew and Luke mention such a story? Why not Mark, or John, or the earliest writer- Paul? This tight knit family did all they could to extend the Jewish Jesus Kingdom; however, they had a very limited view of the bigger Kingdom. Jesus wasn't talking about a Jewish Kingdom, a church centered in Jerusalem, nor a church of ANY LIMITATIONS. Unfortunately James didn't understand. James did a good job of holding the Jerusalem church together as long as he could, but he ran afoul of Paul who had bigger ideas. Maybe Thomas did get it or at least he seemed to! Thomas? Who is Thomas? The Gospel of Thomas that almost made it in the final canon was the twin brother of Jesus. Now we've really gone heretical haven't we? Ah, but why then was it understood that Judas (Jude) Didymous Thomas, was the "Judas brother"? Why were there so many Josephs, Marys, and so forth? Who knows? What we do know is that the BIBLE says that Jesus had FOUR brothers (nuclear family types) and I love seeing how James (The Just) tried to carry the mantle for his brother; however, he was no match for Paul.

The American War of Independence ended in 1776 with the birth of the United States of America. The date of birth was 4th July 1776. My esteemed Guru Mr. K. N. Rao has taken the birth time of USA as 10:21:30 AM on 4th July 1776 (Philadelphia) in his article in the Journal of Astrology. The horoscope of America has been drawn on the basis of the same information.
The placements of planets in the horoscope of the United States of America are as follows:-
- The "lagna" (ascendant) rising is Leo.
- Saturn is placed in the 2nd house.
- "Ketu" is placed in the 6th house.
- Moon is placed in the 7th house.
- Sun, Venus, Mars and Jupiter are placed in the 11th house.
- Retrograde Mercury and "Rahu" are placed in the 12th house.
Before analyzing the implications of the placement of planets, it will be pertinent to take a quick survey of some important events which took place during the last two decades and its effect on the nation.
a) With the collapse of the Soviet Union, the USA became the superpower. It intervened in the Gulf-War after Iraq's attack on Kuwait. This triggered a full-scale expensive war for America.
b) On 11th September 2001 the World Trade Centre was attacked by terrorist organization. It sent a shiver down the spine of the nation. It decided to wage a war against terrorism and the next expensive war began in Afghanistan.
c) The American economy went into tailspin after the burst of realty bubble. A number of banks collapsed. Economic problems multiplied at home and unemployment figures rose very high. The economy started recovering with slippages.
d) The World Trade Centre and 9/11 is again in news right now. The reason is the suggestion of President Obama to build a mosque at the site of terrorist attack.
1. Are planets affecting the economy?
The "Mahadasa" of Moon started from October 2001. Moon happens to be the lord of the twelfth house. This house is seen for expenses. The period of Moon prepared the country to pump money for financing its offensive against perpetrators of the terrorist attack. This was an indication that America will try to live beyond its means and shall spend heavily on wars. Its impact on the economy of the country was bound to be negative.
In the Moon / Mercury phase the country had to suffer from recession and the financial market literally collapsed. The government had to come to the rescue of financial institutions and corporate houses for pulling them out. The twelfth house placement of Mercury indicated overambitious ventures.

Le choix de Emmanuel Kant (1724-1804)
Kant, en observant les phénomènes naturelles, considère que, ‘dans le comportement économe de la lumière ou dans la régénération des embryons, tout se passe « comme si » la nature poursuivait intentionnellement des fins. Selon Kant, le procédé « comme si » qualifie un usage régulateur des idées de la raison. L'idée de finalité n'a pas de réalité objective. Elle est une règle méthodologique.
Kant, en admettant l'impossibilité de démontrer l'existence de Dieu par le recours à la raison en réfute les preuves telles que la preuve, cosmologique, la preuve ontologique, la preuve de dessein.
Il proclame le recours à la morale comme fondement imposé par la « nécessité » de l'existence de Dieu : « Il est a priori (moralement) nécessaire de produire le souverain Bien par la liberté de la volonté, il faut donc que la condition de possibilité du souverain Bien repose, elle aussi exclusivement sur des fondements a priori de la connaissance. » (1)
L'existence de Dieu comme postulat de la raison pure :
« La loi morale a conduit à la tache pratique qui est prescrite, sans aucun recours de ressorts sensible, uniquement par la raison pure, à savoir celle du nécessaire perfection de la première et principale partie du souverain Bien, de la moralité.
Il faut que cette même loi conduise aussi à la possibilité du deuxième élément du souverain Bien, à savoir du bonheur proportionné à cette moralité, et cela de manière aussi désintéressée que précédemment à partir de la simple raison impartiale, ce qui signifie : conduise à la supposition de l'existence d'une cause adéquate à cet effet, c'est à dire à postuler l'existence de Dieu, comme nécessairement lié avec la législation morale de la raison pure ». Kant, comme Aristote et Leibniz, essaye de trouver un argument solide pour l'existence d'une Dieu cause, mais sur la plane morale.
Dans ces propositions Kant ne définie pas ni la ‘raison' ‘pure' ou ‘pratique' en terme de présence, fonction et d'origine.
Il ne donne pas la réponse à la question de la ‘nécessité' de la ‘morale' dictée par la ‘raison pure' pour imposer l'existence de Dieu.
Son concept de la ‘morale' est laissé ouvert à la conviction individuelle sujette à la « loi naturelle » sans expliquer son origine ni son nécessité.
La philosophie métaphysique de Kant est un mécanisme qui impose l'existence de Dieu sans le remettre en question.

Franciscan Way
Franciscanism is a particular belief system within the Catholic church which shapes a person's spirituality, the way he/she views God, and the way they relate to God. God remains free from spatial and chronological limitations, making way for choices that result in perfect love and goodness. God's nature is one of relationship in the Trinity. Christ Jesus Christ came to earth by means of the Incarnation as a freely chosen demonstration of the love of God. He remains with mankind today through the Eucharist. Christ demonstrates to people what God is like and what mankind is intended to be. His death on the cross, though not a requirement for God to save mankind, was nevertheless an unparalleled demonstration of love that was intended to draw people to God. Incarnation The Incarnation was God's choice to show his love for men and women before humans chose to sin. Sin led to the particular way Christ came, but the choice to take on human form was a result of divine love. Christmas holds special significance for Franciscans because it reminds humanity of the love God showed when Jesus Christ came to earth in human form. Humanity Every person's life holds unique significance, having been gifted in a special way by God. Humans can do nothing to limit God or to make Him act in a particular way. Instead, we must come to God understanding that we are poor before him, that he owes us nothing, and that even our capacity to do good comes from him. Salvation There is no action a human can take that will earn justification from God. Mercy, forgiveness, and justification are all freely chosen by God, not as a result of human action, but as a demonstration of divine love. Humans, however, can choose not to partake of the love of God. God gives man the ability to choose to cooperate with him and man is then responsible to work on his salvation, recognizing that even the desire to do good is a gift from God.

Planets and our great sages
Our great sages had such powerful Third eye vision to understand that planets have stored the informations of individuals past history for generations. The sages have also found that when a planet is in a particular position, then very categorically defined the effects of planets in their life.
It is not that much clear even if one uses third eye very sharply, as to how Sages got informations from planets and GOD about our lives, secrets of birth/death. No one will ever able to answer the basic question as:
Why should we take birth/live/marry/become old and die?. Why this is happening?,. Why some people are very rich and enjoy all things , whereas many people suffer for wealth?. Why some people are born handicapped and in some it is more complicated diseases?. Why should there be slaves? and why should there are some kings/dictators?.
It will always be a mystery on all the above, so long as we take the route of science/scientists. But when one follows the path of great sages, truth will be known and one will get satisfied with what is in store.
As mentioned in my previous article, the family of four were destined to suffer for the whole of their generations, because of misdeeds in their previous birth/s. Like a judiciary where person gets punishment for their criminal actions, and justice delivered for some wrong civil actions, in GOD's court, The punishment comes at the right time and the perfect moment.
In the case of a murderer, the criminal court might order him death by hanging, but in GOD's court the person will get perfect punishment. The GOD's court is as simple as anyone can understand the law/judgement ,unlike the most complicated laws in various countries. In the GOD's court, it is the planets who are executors and ensure that it is done at the right time.
As per sages, using the planets, to determine the true fate of life is to ensure knowledge of their ancestors. This is possible with horoscope and planetary positions. GOD is a hidden judge in the chart, whereas, planets position themselves to indicate the kind of punishments they will pronounce on the person at the right time.
To make things simple, Sages have said that ,when a person leads very simple life, without any expectations, likes/dislikes etc., and never harm anyone, will get the best planetary positions in their chart. In other words, planets will help to get whatever that person wants.
In the case of people leading normal life, they all tend to commit misdeeds because of their compulsion to get out of problems, wants, needs etc., the planets indeed will record the same and will reflect in the chart of the person. It is not only this life, but it will be a continuous reflection for the next generations too.
This is what exactly sages have said that when a person commits sin or misdeeds it will hurt for generations. We can also see in this world, many families suffer for hundreds of years. We can also see that many kings/dictators lived in this world and what has happened to their generations?. Definitely their kith/kin will be living somewhere and suffering greatly, but planets/GOD would have destroyed the evidences,as they are such dreaded sinners.
Sages had the intuition of knowing such effects of planets on humans. It is not that only human lives are dictated by planets, but it is the universe and all lives are also dictated by them. To understand this concept, in Hindu philosophy, there are many stories which describes how GOD is born/Planets are born/stars are born etc.. It may look bit unscientific, but closer look and the way the nature (GOD) behaves will reveal the fact that some basis are there for such stories too.
Typical example here is there are Nine generations of Vishnu and they are described in almost all temples and known to everyone. Let us for the time being look at from the angle of understanding how humans were created on the earth?. From the first to Ninth one can see it is a gradual process of human evolution. Let us not discuss about the tenth one, because it is yet to take place.
Closer look of these nine incarnations, one can understand it is a cyclical process and any form of life one can take. Meaning, a human being born now, might take birth as animal in the next birth and an animal in the last birth may be a human now.
Though for the outside world it may look that the generations of dreaded (dictators/kings) people may not be visible, but may be living in some form or the other, somewhere discharging their sins.
All these are very clearly defined by our great sages and about the powers of planets. Many also might have heard stories about sages where, they used to predict well at the time of birth about how the kid will live in this world and how it will die. GOD'S WARNING: STORMS & THE EAST COAST
I want to ask all readers to "bear" with me. I have to briefly take you back 4 years ago when God began telling me many things. Some may same I'm crazy, but I always give facts, dates, and references. I'm very thank-ful to the people who have taken time to read my articles found at articlesbase.com and through out the web.
In late 2006 (or early 2007) God told me that a black man was coming as a world leader and he would be "Leviathan". I responded to God that, "aint no black man coming to rule or lead anywhere" and I went on with my stress filled life. My response was similar to Jonah's response. God then struck my primary focus and got my full attention. God went on to send never ending supernatural events. God was never wrong. Any one who reads my writings from 2006 until present (September 16, 2010) can see that something significant occurred. We are now at the first week in August 2010. My Birthday week. God sent me amazing supernatural occurrences during that week. I also wrote about these occurrences on articlesbase.com God wanted me to begin re-preaching that storms were indeed coming to the East Coast-USA. God sent Tropical Storm "Colin" (my pen name is Gary Colin) from Bermuda (the home of the Bermuda Triangle-Supernatural) to New Jersey (My Home State-East Coast USA). Following God's bidding, I preached from 2006-2008 on my Access TV show that storms were most definitely coming to the East Coast-USA.
I was beginning to move away from all of this Supernatural "hocus pocus" stuff. Many of you might think that I am Stephen King type "prophecy nut". At my age, I just wish I could find a way to "end the stress" and get on with my life. God has a way of prolonging His prophetic fulfillments. The prophets disliked this aspect of God's planning and mercy. Jonah was angered by it. Moses told God, "you have not brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey". Life goes on. WE can't stop because the Big GUY has major plans! Bills still have to be paid. And I'm a Leo who loves fun!
On September 15, 2010 I drove to the drive thru to get dinner. My cell phone rang. I answered and the woman caller immedately said, "I got the wrong number" and hung up. I thought this was very "strange". First of all. I only use that phone for business. Noone really has that number. Second of all, that cell phone is usually turned off. I seldom use that phone. Too many coincidences. Oh yes, it was still day light at that time. As I began to order my food, I saw the Moon. Readers should be aware that I've had many conversations with the Moon, Venus, and others. Yea, I know this sounds really crazy. Yet, you also see Joshua speaking to the Moon and the Sun, Jesus speaking to storms and nature, and God identifying Himself with the Moon (Matthew 24:24-34; Joel 2:1-5, 25-32). I hadn't seen the Moon in months. If you read any of my previous 2010 writings, you won't find any recent articles talking about the Moon. I really was turning my attention back to life's problems.
So now I had the Moon out in broad daylight again and the "strange" phone call. With in five minutes I was stranged off the Highway near the woods as the night began to darken. The first quarter Moon (which means healing) to my left (southward), Mars was in front of me (toward the West), and lovely Venus was behind me (toward the East).
I'll get back to my "strandedness" momentarily. When I got home, I ran a reverse check up on that phone number. The call was from Amboy, New Jersey. I don't no anyone in Amboy, New Jersey. I then realized that God was again telling me something about New Jersey (East Coast). A first quarter moon means healing and protection. Mars means that "problems" are headed your way. And Venus is all about love and funds. I'm smart enough to have tow service so everything worked out pretty much. God just wanted to remind me of how He "smacked me into HIS reality" back in 2006/2007.
My relative's Big 5-0 celebration is this week. My playing card reading for today (September 16, 2010) was 5 of clubs. Five is the number of change. On September 16, 2010 the news informed readers of a "tornado" watch in New Jersey. Once again God was using birth dates and other events to denote "change". The "Sun" Tarot card often is pulled in my readings. That Rider-Waite card shows the birthday boy happily riding the horse.
I really believe that God's Mercy is being greatly extended to the East Coast-USA. Our leaders are continually warning us of the possible storms coming. I've always encouraged people to stop the pettiness. Stop the unnecessary judgments. Stop the prejudices. Stop all the negative energies that increase the chance of "loosing it all" when God allows those storms to hit. Each day, each one of us should approach the Greater Life Who allows all things. We should confess our sins to this Great Life and set goals to enlighten our personal lives and the life around us.
Yes, I know that sounds so corny. Yet, it won't sound so "corny" when God finally releases those rains and waters that He has forewarned (1 King 18:1, 41, 44-this "little cloud" who arises "out of the sea" is the Beast (Revelation 13:1-10). According to the advisory, astronomical high tides associated with a full moon have the potential to create flooding in low-lying coastal areas.
Along the New Jersey oceanfront, high tide will occur between 7:15 and 8:15 p.m. tonight.
Onshore flow is expected to continue Tuesday, creating the possibility of coastal flooding again near Tuesday evening's high tide.

"Saving God: One Soul At a Time" comes straight from the hood - and is therefore quite different from Christian movies we are used to. A movie by Cloud Ten Pictures, it does a very good job of giving us a glimpse into the life of an ex-con turned pastor - in a place where God was the odd one out and survival was everything.
Armstrong Cane is on a mission to save as many people as possible for God - even if he has to forcefully get their attention. He threads a very thin line between his old and new man (even has a few lapses) - while trying to mentor a young man named Norris, and prevent him from making ghastly mistakes.
Cane was reminded about his horrible past, it seemed, every time he turned around - but he was determined to carry on with the mission even if it meant risking his life and violating parole.
When tragedy struck a second time, he realized that maybe God's plan was not so straightforward and he simply had to submit and let it all unfold. When it did, he was at the right place and he was ready - giving us a bittersweet ending to a story of life through death.
I recommend this movie for those who are not bothered by some "straight talk" from a Christian movie. The makers tried not to pretty things up too much, hence the "not preaching to the choir" feel of the movie. The dialogue is believable and the struggles are real.

Every year in September around 1500 pilgrims from different countries in the world, traveled to the river Jordan in northern Israel, where the Yardenit site near Kibbutz Kinneret will host this annual event. Hundreds of thousands of pilgrims make the same journey every year to be baptized and washed in this famous river in the holy land.
People from all over the globe gather and sing and bath in the summer sun of northern Israel. This spiritual happening is a feast of happiness and anticipation of people whom some have been waiting their entire life for this moment. The release of emotion and elation of performing this ritual with so many others creates an atmosphere unparalleled in this troubled region.
For the many not religious visitors this entire practice sometimes seems comical and funny, all these grown people dressed up in white robes entering into the water in order to be submerged by the attentive priest and emerge not rarely in tears of joy.
This northern part of Israel lies on the border of Jordan, it hold many sacred sites like Capernaum and not far there is a museum where they have one of the authentic fishing ships that was used in the time of the bible. Many evangelistic followers make a special journey through this area to see and feel the magic of the place. The city of Tiberias which lies on the shores of the Sea of Galilee has become the tourist capitol of the north.
But the crown of everything is the small site at the Jordan River. Here the emotions of all those people that undertook this journey reach its climax. The site is run and maintained by the kibbutz kinneret that is located next to the site. This kibbutz which carries the local name of the Sea of Galilee "tried hard to keep the significance of the site in mind when building the center around it. A small shop and large area for people to shower, change and freshen up signifies their sensitivity to the demands of the visitors. People in wheel chairs or otherwise disabled will find that they have no hinder reaching the water.
According to their faith this the place where John baptized Jesus.
Thus they come together in the thousands to immerse themselves in the Jordan River waters. This is the place where John baptized Jesus. Department of Tourism of the Jordan valley repeatedly emphasize that the water in this part of southern Jordan River, which is located in a site called "Yardenit ", is clean and that this holy practice causes no threat to the health of all those strong believers.

My Difficult Week Leads Me To The Realization That There Is One Key To Success In Life…That Works Every Time
Saturday marked the anniversary of 9/11. I still remember it like it was yesterday. I was living in a suburb of New York City, so it touched many people I know personally. That day is burned into my memory with such vivid emotion tied to it. Without getting political, I had to endure watching our President look us in the face and tell us Americans, the most humanitarian, generous country in the world, that we needed to be tolerant. Excuse me Mr. President, we didn't fly jet planes into Mecca. Try preaching tolerance where it belongs, to the ones who are the furthest from tolerance.
Today, Monday morning, I got a text that a dear friend of mine had passed after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was 36 years old. We coached our son's baseball team last year together. I will cherish those memories. The one thing that struck me as I read the text was a sense of peace. Sure I was sad, but more than that, I was happy for him. I was happy for him for two reasons.
The first is because he was in such pain and discomfort, his passing ended that, but the second was…he lived a faithful life as God asks us to. He never complained once during his sickness. He never asked why, or complained that it wasn't fair. My friend had a good Christian upbringing and his faith never waivered. He never let the power of temptation creep in to cast doubt on God's love for him. He passed the ultimate test and is reaping everlasting peace and happiness in God's kingdom.
The one thing that he had is perspective. Perspective is a powerful word. If you have perspective, your ability to handle adverse situations is greatly increased. Likewise, it brings you back to earth when things are going really good. It brings back humility. Where does perspective come from? I maintain that perspective comes from your relationship with God.
Let me use sports as an illustration. Human emotion is a powerful thing. Peaks and valleys of emotion keep you from performing. How many times have you seen NFL players overrun with emotion to a point where two plays later they get burned for a touchdown or make a mental error? Do you remember players who seemed to have ‘ice in his veins'. He was the guy who never celebrated, or got to down on himself. He was just able to outperform the ones who couldn't control their emotion in the big spot. Joe Montana comes to mind. Dan Marino also.
But sports isn't life. Life brings much deeper, and more real adversity. Sickness, death, loss of your job are all deep valleys of adversity you need to deal with. Without perspective, those valleys can swallow you whole.
So the point I am trying to make is this. Perspective is only truly gained by having a relationship with God and understanding your real reason for being here on earth. Without faith in God, and a relationship with Him, you can easily fall victim to human emotion.
Everyone has emotions, it's how you keep them in check which determines whether or not you will be successful in pressing on. I hear every day about more and more people being put on anti depressants and prescriptions to help them ‘cope'. If you are trying to ‘cope' on human terms, your chances are far greater of needing 'something' tho help, like prescriptions or some other chemical escape.
I'm not saying there aren't people who truly need them, but with the attack on Judeo-Christian values in this country, we are getting further away from our relationships with God, and our ability to truly deal with our issues in our lives. We need to expose our children at an early age to Christ, and teach them what is important and what isn't, so they can survive in this world. Prescriptions and psychiatrists are a sorry replacement for God.
So after I read the text of my dear friend's passing, I switched to my email. There was one from my mother in reference to 9/11. It was a reminder of the people who just missed being in the towers that morning. One man skipped work to be with his son on his first day of kindergarten. Another woman was late due to traffic on the Jersey Turnpike. Another man was late because his car battery crapped out. The point was to say that we should no longer get upset and curse everything because our car battery died, or that you are stuck in a traffic jam. Perspective will tell you that where you are at that moment is exactly where God wants you to be. He is working in your life. Compare that to thinking in human terms within emotion that tells you that you are cursed and everything is against you.
If this makes one person think twice about their relationship with God that has been lacking, and recommits themselves to Christ, I will be happy. You can handle anything, or achieve anything when you understand your real purpose is far more important than everyday drama.
Perspective…it works every time.

Some 2012 Scientific Explanations
There are many predictions about the world coming to an end on the Winter Solstice in 2012, some that may have some validity, others that are completely absurd.
Some religious leaders now see this day as Armageddon, again, and say that this is now the time when the end of the world is at hand.
While there are some things that may point to the end of the world, if you simply step back and look at the bigger picture, then you may find that all life as we know it is not going to suddenly come to a crashing halt.
Many of these predictions are based on the Mayan Long Calendar. This is a calendar, one of three that were developed by the Mayan Civilization.
This calendar is said to start somewhere around 3000 BC, and ends on 12/24/2012. There are also I-Ching prophecies that also told of a 2012 doomsday theory that occurred 5000 years ago.
Does this all mean that mean that the world is truly going to end?
If you are truly worried about some of these prophecies, then there are scientific places you can go for answers.
NASA has a website, and an area devoted to answering questions about these prophecies scientifically.
Just like the big Y2K scare, the 2012 scare too has been quite analyzed on a scientific level, and contrary to what many believe, when science is applied, many of these start to come apart, pardon the pun.
There are also other websites, including National Geographic.com which also debunk many of these end of the world theories.
For an example, let's take a closer look at the Mayan Calendar. While there are some people that say the calendar abruptly ends on 12/24/2012, archaeologists say that the ancients never said that the world was going to come to an end.
It is simply a time when the largest Mayan calendar cycle of 5,125.37 years turns over and begins a new cycle.
While this is an overwhelmingly long period of time to say the least, we have a 12 month calendar that overturns every 365.4 days, right? Should we hide under the bed and wait for the end on December 31 each year?
The next myth that is debunked is about the Earth will undergo some cataclysmic pole shift, tearing continents apart, like that from the movie 2012.
Scientific evidence does say that the planet has undergone many of these kinds of changes, but the problem is that these changes take place over millions of years, hardly like the changes that took place in a matter of days like what happened in the movie.
Scientists say we would hardly even feel these changes, and would be long dead before it was finished.
These are just some of the scientific explanations for these 2012 theories. You can find numerous websites, both full of scientific facts, as well as wild speculations.
No matter what you believe, there are some things that you have to ask yourself. If you truly believe in these doomsday prophecies, then is there anything you can really do to prepare?
If the world truly is going to come to an end, instead of concentrating on finding some hole to crawl into, or hide until it is all over? Wouldn't it be more productive in the time you have left to concentrate more on getting your affairs in order?

Some religious leaders now see this day as Armageddon, again, and say that this is now the time when the end of the world is at hand.
While there are some things that may point to the end of the world, if you simply step back and look at the bigger picture, then you may find that all life as we know it is not going to suddenly come to a crashing halt.
Many of these predictions are based on the Mayan Long Calendar. This is a calendar, one of three that were developed by the Mayan Civilization.
This calendar is said to start somewhere around 3000 BC, and ends on 12/24/2012. There are also I-Ching prophecies that also told of a 2012 doomsday theory that occurred 5000 years ago.
Does this all mean that mean that the world is truly going to end?
If you are truly worried about some of these prophecies, then there are scientific places you can go for answers.
NASA has a website, and an area devoted to answering questions about these prophecies scientifically.
Just like the big Y2K scare, the 2012 scare too has been quite analyzed on a scientific level, and contrary to what many believe, when science is applied, many of these start to come apart, pardon the pun.
There are also other websites, including National Geographic.com which also debunk many of these end of the world theories.
For an example, let's take a closer look at the Mayan Calendar. While there are some people that say the calendar abruptly ends on 12/24/2012, archaeologists say that the ancients never said that the world was going to come to an end.
It is simply a time when the largest Mayan calendar cycle of 5,125.37 years turns over and begins a new cycle.
While this is an overwhelmingly long period of time to say the least, we have a 12 month calendar that overturns every 365.4 days, right? Should we hide under the bed and wait for the end on December 31 each year?
The next myth that is debunked is about the Earth will undergo some cataclysmic pole shift, tearing continents apart, like that from the movie 2012.
Scientific evidence does say that the planet has undergone many of these kinds of changes, but the problem is that these changes take place over millions of years, hardly like the changes that took place in a matter of days like what happened in the movie.
Scientists say we would hardly even feel these changes, and would be long dead before it was finished.
These are just some of the scientific explanations for these 2012 theories. You can find numerous websites, both full of scientific facts, as well as wild speculations.
No matter what you believe, there are some things that you have to ask yourself. If you truly believe in these doomsday prophecies, then is there anything you can really do to prepare?
If the world truly is going to come to an end, instead of concentrating on finding some hole to crawl into, or hide until it is all over? Wouldn't it be more productive in the time you have left to concentrate more on getting your affairs in order?

How to Live a Spiritual Life
Every human contains a triplex in its nature, the Body, the Soul and the Spirit. The body, or the outer part of a human, is what been used to demonstrate the actions of what's going on inside of the body. In other words, the body is the part of the human that covers the real source of what life is all about.
In fact, everything in this world has a body. A vehicle has a body, a building has a body, writing or reading has a body, from music to even liquid has a body. So as we see it, not only humans but objects and things have a body also. But to live spiritually will take more than just the body because the body has no connection that links toward God.
Then there is the soul. Not everything has a soul. The soul is placed above, and is independent of all infirmities of the body. For example, a sick person showing signs of weakness is due to the hindrances that interpose themselves between his soul and his body.
Concerning the soul, after its separation from the body, it will continue to progress until it attains the presence of God, in a state and condition which neither the revolution of ages and centuries, nor the changes and chances of this world, can alter. It will endure as long as the Kingdom of God, His dominion and power endureth.
With regard to the spirit, in 1 Corinthians 15:44, it says that there is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. Romans 8:10 and 11 says, if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
So as we see it, living spirituality is a matter of living for Christ. His ways and actions must be imbedded in you. This will take a lifestyle of continuous living and breeding the nature of how Christ operates.

How to Correctly Read the Bible
Reading the Bible is not like reading just any other book. If you approach it in the same way that you normally read, you will get lost and confused, and as a result, you will lose interest and give up.
You must look at the Bible as God's answers to your prayers. Many have missed this important concept when reading the Bible. You must understand that the Bible is God in written words. So when you are reading, you are actually communicating with God Himself.
Look at the Bible as a triplex exposure; it's compiled of old, new, and future. You could also look at it as past, present, and what's to come.
Although you may have the Old Testament and the New Testament, if you look at the Bible in its correct form, which is called a Covenant, you would understand that there are three layers of promises that were made by God:
1: The history of what occurred
2: The present of how we should live
3: The revelation of what's to come
Would you believe that all three are heading in the same direction?
The entire Bible concept is centered on one single purpose--JESUS CHRIST. This is where many are lost in there pursuant to define the Bible. This may sound strange to you, but the Bible is a living being. Yes, it's actually alive. So to understand the Bible, it will take Jesus Christ to reveal to you what is written about Him. Since He is not here in the human form, it will take His Spirit.
Now, after you receive His Spirit, take your time and read in this order.
First, get to know Him by reading the entire gospel of St. John in the New Testament.
Listen to the first few words of St John, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men."
Continue reading through the entire chapter.
Then go back to St. Matthew, which is also in the New Testament, and read through the rest of the New Testament, except the book of Revelation.
This will help you understand the Old Testament. Next, read the Old Testament. When you finish and understand, conclude by reading Revelation. That is how you read the Bible in its correct form.

How Do You Get Saved?
Getting saved is not as difficult and confused as many may paint the picture to be. In fact, getting saved is a very good thing that changes your life to make you a person of better value and greater integrity.
You are saved from the negativity and all the bad things that this world has to offer. You are saved from going to hell, a place I am certain you don't want to go. But the main meaning for the term 'saved' is living a Christian lifestyle daily. This lifestyle symbolically represents how Jesus would life on an everyday basis.
According to 1 John 5:11-12, "God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life." Your eternal destination is all contingent on one thing--whether or not you have the Son of God. Not whether or not you have religion or Christianity, but whether you have a personal relationship with Jesus.
So how do you get Jesus? God's pretty clear about that. He says, for example, in John 3:36, "Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him." God's wrath is because of what we've done with the life. And whether you may believe this or not, Acts 2:21 tells us that "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
This is a simple process.
Romans 10:9 says if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. THAT'S IT!
