Recipes for Damaged Hair

If you feel that your hair is suffering from split ends, a lack of luster, or general malaise, here are some treatments that are available in your kitchen.
1. Avocado:
Mix an avocado, one egg yolk and a dash of olive oil and massage it through your hair. Leave on for at least 30 minutes, followed by shampooing, rinsing and conditioning as normal.
2. Mayonnaise
Mayonnaise is a sauce which is good for conditioning your hair. Apply enough mayo through your hair to coat it lightly. Leave on for 30 minutes before shampooing out. Place a shower cap on top of your mayo-coated locks for a deeper conditioning treatment and leave on for overnight. Even if you get gum stuck in your hair, rub Mayo in until the gum dissolves. Mayonnaise softens your hair and leaves it shiny.
3. Vinegar:
This health tonic can help remove residue that dulls your hair. You can add about a tablespoon of vinegar to your hair while rinsing. If you have an itchy scalp or dandruff, try massaging apple cider vinegar into your scalp before shampooing. Besides adding shine to your hair, vinegar is also known for its skin healing properties.
4. Beer:
Apart from using it as a styling tonic, you can easily benefit from this beverage as a conditioner. After shampooing and rinsing as usual, pour one bottle of beer through your hair and massage through from scalp to ends. Now, rinse thoroughly with cold water. Your hair looks shiny with more beautiful body.
5. Eggs:
Break a few eggs and beat together in bowl. Massage through your hair after shampooing and leave on before rinsing out thoroughly. This treatment helps repair or strengthen your hair follicles, thus leading to silkier mane with good body. Another different method is beating one egg yolk together with a dash of olive oil and 3/4 cups warm water. These methods help you to benefit from eggs' natural proteins.
